Swedish Meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 lb ground veal
- 12 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 12 cup evaporated milk
- 14 cup drippings or 14 cup fat
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 14 teaspoon ginger
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon allspice
- Blend all ingredients except drippings.
- Form in small balls.
- Brown in drippings, shaking skillet so balls brown evenly.
- Cover pan tightly and steam for 15 minutes.
