Creamy Beef-Tomato Skillet
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 lb. lean ground pork
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (3 1/2 c.) tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 small jar pimento, cut up
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sour cream
- Brown meat, breaking up meat and pouring off excess fat occasionally.
- (Be sure meat is well drained.)
- Stir in onion, green pepper, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, macaroni (uncooked), pimento, sugar, chili powder and salt.
- Bring to boil; cover. Turn down flame and let simmer 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Stir in sour cream. Heat and serve at once.
