The Casablanca Cocktail
- 2 ounces Zacapa 23
- 2 dashes rhubarb bitters
- 1 cube turbinado or brown sugar
- 1 brandied cherry (sold at specialty markets)
- 1 1/2-inch thick slice blood orange, peel intact
- 1 small wedge blood orange
- splash of water
- ice
- In a rocks glass, dash bitters over sugar cube, add cherry and blood orange slice to it, then muddle.
- Add enough ice to nearly fill the glass.
- Add the rum.
- Top with a splash of water and garnish with a blood orange wedge.
