Sauerkraut And Sausage Bake Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound kielbasa (or possibly pork sausage)
- 1 (27 ounce.) can sauerkraut, rinsed, liquid removed
- 1 tbsp. sliced green onion, with tops
- Packaged instant mashed potatoes (sufficient for 4 servings)
- 4 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Stir together sauerkraut and green onion, turn into 1 1/2 qt casserole.
- Spread sliced kielbasa over sauerkraut mix (pork sausage should be browned in skillet and fat liquid removed off).
- Prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions.
- Stir 2 Tbsp.
- of the cheese into the potato.
- Spread potato over sausage, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees till heated through, 35-40 min.
- Makes 6 servings.
