Easy but Genuine Sesame Tofu with Miso Sauce
- 3 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 100 ml Water
- 100 ml Milk
- 2 sheets Gelatin leaves
- 1 tbsp Corn starch
- 1 pinch each Salt, sugar
- 1 tsp Miso
- 1/2 tsp Mirin
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- Soak the gelatin in water.
- Grind the sesame seeds (until oil comes out and it is moistened).
- You can use a food processer.
- Warm the milk in a microwave at 600 W for 50 seconds.
- In a bowl, add the warmed milk and the drained and squeezed gelatin and mix until the gelatin dissolves.
- Add the water and the sesame seeds from Step 2 into the bowl from Step 3, and mix them well.
- Add the cornstarch and mix more.
- Microwave the mixture from Step 4 at 600 W for 2 minutes.
- Using a whisk, mix it really well until it thickens and the sesame seeds no longer sink to the bottom.
- Season it with salt and sugar.
- Dip the mold in water and pour the mixture in it.
- Chill it in the refrigerator.
- Transfer it into a serving bowl.
- Eat it with your favorite sauce.
- Miso sauce, sesame sauce, wasabi and soy sauce, or black sugar syrup go well with this tofu.
- Take a look atfor sesame tofu with yuzu pepper paste as well.
