Candy Cane Cottage

  1. Make Frame For House: Rinse carton and staple or tape top closed.
  2. Cut 4 inches from bottom of carton; discard bottom section.
  3. Place top portion on piece of waxed paper.
  4. Cut 6 grahams to height of 3 3/4 inches to form sides.
  5. Cut 2 of these pieces in half lengthwise along perforation.
  6. Using frosting, attach 1 whole graham and 1 long piece to each side of carton, making grahams even with bottom edge of carton and centering on each side of carton.
  7. To form roof base, attach 1 whole graham sideways at top ridge of carton using frosting under graham to build to ridge height.
  8. Repeat for other side of roof.
  9. Cut remaining grahams with serrated knife to fit under eaves on sides of house.
  10. Tile Roof: Spread frosting generously on one side of roof.
  11. Beginning at bottom, quickly press a row of alternating red and candy cane roll candies, allowing first row of candies to overhang graham roof base.
  12. Continue rows to top, overlapping each row slightly.
  13. Repeat for second side of roof.
  14. Make Windows: Cut 4 sticks gum into 7 (1 1/4-inch) pieces for windows; cut remaining stick gum into arched window above door 1 1/2 inches long and 5/8 inch high at center.
  15. Attach windows to house with frosting.
  16. Make Door: Spread frosting thinly on back of 2 sugar wafers.
  17. Press side-by-side on waxed paper to form door.
  18. With red decorator icing using small petal or leaf tip, pipe ribbon on door to look like a gift box; top with bow made with frosting using

water, crackers, readytospread, ringshaped hard candy, ringshaped hard candy, sugar wafers, readytospread, readytospread, bubble gum, graham snacks
