Scotch Eggs
- 4 hard boiled eggs / peeled
- 1 lb pork breakfast sausage
- 1 cup panko japanese breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp each of onion and garlic powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 enough vegetable oil for deep frying eggs
- You need three separate plates to place your ingredients.
- In one,place your flour.
- In another, place bread crumbs,salt, onion and garlic powder.
- In third put your beaten egg.
- Take peeled hard boiled egg encase with sausage and roll in flour.
- Next roll in beaten egg.
- Now roll in seasoned panko.
- Let them sit for 5 minutes to ensure coating sticks.
- Deep fry in hot oil heated to 350AF.
- Remove when golden brown.
- Drain on a plate with paper toweling.
- Enjoy nice and hot.
- Hint.....Boil your eggs the night before and peel, keep in airtight container in the refrigerator.
- This quick step gets assembly off to a running start when making these.
