Minestrone With Pasta

  1. Cook ditalini according to package directions.
  2. Drain; set aside.
  3. Melt butter in 6-quart saucepan until sizzling; add onion, basil and garlic.
  4. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 3-5 minutes or until onion is softened.
  5. Add sausage.
  6. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 9-11 minutes or until sausage is browned.
  7. Drain off fat.
  8. Stir in all remaining ingredients except Parmesan cheese.
  9. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender.
  10. Stir in cooked ditalini.
  11. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
  12. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.
