Blueberry Apple Crisp Recipe
- 1 (20 ounce.) can sliced apples, liquid removed (or possibly use your own cooked apples)
- 2 c. frzn fresh blueberries
- 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
- 3 tbsp. butter
- Light cream (optional)
- In a 1 1/2 qt microwave safe casserole, combine the apples and the blueberries.
- Microwave cook, covered, at full power for 5 min, stirring fruit twice.
- In medium mixing bowl, stir together the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cut in the butter till the mix resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumb mix over the apples and blueberries.
- Cook, uncovered, on high for 4 to 5 min or possibly till fruit mix is heated through.
- Serve with cream.
- Makes 6 servings.
