Black Forest Kolaches

  1. Combine
  2. yeast,
  3. 1/2
  4. cup
  5. warm milk and 1/3 cup sugar. Stir until
  6. yeast
  7. dissolves.
  8. Add butter, 1/2 cup warm milk, sour cream,
  9. eggs,
  10. salt, cocoa and 2 cups flour.
  11. Stir well. Add rest of
  12. flour
  13. to make a soft dough.
  14. Cover and let rise for
  15. 30 minutes.
  16. Mix
  17. and
  18. let
  19. rise for another 30 minutes. Punch
  20. down and
  21. roll
  22. out
  23. on floured surface about 1/2 inch thick.
  24. Cut with round cookie cutter and place in 2 greased 9 x
  25. 11 x 2-inch baking pans.
  26. Spread with melted butter.
  27. Cover and
  28. let
  29. rest for 10 minutes.
  30. Make indention with thumb and fill
  31. with cream cheese filling and top with 1 teaspoon cherry pie
  32. filling.
  33. Cover and let rise until double in size (about 20 to
  34. 25
  35. minutes). Bake
  36. at 375u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes, then cool, drizzle with cocoa icing.
