Green Bean And Sausage Soup

  1. In large saucepan, cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings.
  3. Crumble bacon; set aside.
  4. Cook and stir onion in reserved drippings until tender.
  5. Add carrots, potato, parsley, marjoram (if using), pepper and water.
  6. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  7. Add sausage, beans and reserved bacon.
  8. Cook until well heated.
  9. Makes 6 servings.
