- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. cooking oil
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. butter
- flavoring
- 13 oz. fat pork, chopped fine
- 1 pt. hot water
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. dark brown sugar
- 3 tsp. saleratus *
- 1 1/2 lb. raisins
- 6 c. flour
- spices to suit taste
- 1 1/2 glasses flour
- 1 glass sugar
- 2 eggs in glass half-filled with milk
- flavoring
- 11 tsp. melted butter (added last)
