Granny's Red Eye Gravy

  1. Fry the ham at a medium-low temperature in a little oil until brown on both side.
  2. Remove ham to a plate.
  3. In the grease, add the coffee.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Pour out liquid into another bowl.
  6. Add a cup of water and bring to boil.
  7. Stir the brown bits on the bottom of the skillet.
  8. Pour this into the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  9. Put back into the skillet and boil another couple of minutes to reduce.
