Company Baked French Toast
- 1 (8 to 9-day old) loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 c. sliced strawberries
- Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Place bread slices in dish. Lightly beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
- Stir in milk; pour mixture over bread.
- Turn bread to coat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Turn bread over again.
- Scatter blueberries over bread.
- Sprinkle evenly with crumb mixture.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Top with strawberries to serve.
