Cocktail Meat Balls Or Frankfurters
- 1 lb. ground beef*
- 2 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/3 c. finely chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can Campbell's tomato soup
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- Mix
- beef,
- bread
- crumbs, egg and salt;
- shape into 50 small meat balls (1/2 inch).
- Place in shallow baking pan (13 x
- 9 x 2 inches).
- Broil until browned;
- turn once.
- Spoon off fat. Meanwhile,
- in
- saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until
- tender.
- Stir
- in
- remaining ingredients.
- Pour over
- meat balls.
- Cover;
- bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- Makes 50 meat balls for appetizers.
