Strawberry Walnut Loaf

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Beat together the sugar, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  3. In medium bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder and salt.
  4. In small bowl, combine preserves and sour cream.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with preserves to batter mixture, mixing well until well blended. Stir in nuts.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Bake about 45 minutes; tent bread with foil and continue baking until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean or 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
