Peanut Butter Brownies
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. cake flour
- 12 egg whites
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Separate eggs.
- Beat the whites until frothy.
- Add salt and cream of tartar; continue beating until eggs are stiff.
- Add the cornstarch to sugar and fold into egg whites, then fold the flour into the eggs, small amount at a time.
- Bake 35 minutes at 375u0b0.
