Marble Squares
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 1/2 (1 oz.) sq. chocolate or 5 tablets cocoa (I use cocoa)
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. Daisy sour cream
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- Combine softened cream cheese and sugar, mixing well until well blended.
- Add 1 egg; mix well.
- Combine margarine, water and squares of chocolate or cocoa in saucepan.
- Bring to boil.
- Remove from heat; stir in combined flour and sugar.
- Add 2 eggs, sour cream, soda and salt; mix well.
- Pour into a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan on cookie sheet.
- Spoon cream cheese mixture over chocolate batter.
- Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.
- Sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick is inserted in center and comes out clean.
