Banana Split Dessert - Banana Split

  1. Cover the bottom of an 11 x 15 inch pan with graham cracker crumbs to make a crust.
  2. Slice bananas and layer over crust.
  3. Slice ice cream into 1/2 inch slices and place over bananas.
  4. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over ice cream.
  5. Freeze until firm.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in the butter and add powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
  7. Cook until thick and smooth.
  8. Then add vanilla and cool.
  9. Put chocolate mixture over ice cream.
  10. Whip the cream and spread over the top.
  11. Put back in freezer until firm.
  12. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving.
  13. Could be topped with cherries, pineapple or whatever strikes your fancy.
