Spicy Deep Fried Calamari

  1. Add the water to the beaten egg in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the cayenne pepper with the plain bread crumbs in a medium bowl.
  3. Dip the calamari rings a few at a time into the egg mixture then dredge into the bread crumb mixture.
  4. Deep fry until golden brown in small batches for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Drain on paper.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Deep fry the cherry pepper rings for about 3 minutes and drain.
  8. Toss the now fried pepper rings in with the calamari.
  9. Serve with the lemon wedges.
