Ham Strata With Broccoli
- 12 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 3/4 lb. sharp cheese, grated
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
- 2 c. cooked ham, chopped or thinly sliced
- 6 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. onion, grated
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- additional cheese, grated
- Cut 12 doughnut shapes and holes from bread.
- Fit remaining scraps of bread with a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange cheese, broccoli and ham in layers, topping with bread doughnuts and holes.
- Combine remaining ingredients; pour over all.
- Cover, refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Bake uncovered at 325u0b0 for 50 minutes.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake 5 more minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 8.
