Cutout Cookies

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixure.
  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inches thickness.
  6. Cut out with Christmas cookie cutters of your choice.
  7. Using floured spatula, transfer cookies to greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Cool completely on wire racks.
  10. Decorate cookies with forsting and colored sugars.
