Almond Strawberry Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease and flour 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  3. Combine all crumb mixture ingredients in small bowl.
  4. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Press on bottom of prepared pan.
  6. Bake 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Meanwhile, combine all topping ingredients except preserves in same bowl.
  8. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed; set aside.
  9. Spread preserves to within 1/8 inch from edge of hot, partially baked crust; sprinkle with topping.
  10. Continue baking 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Combine powdered sugar and almond extract in small bowl.
  13. Stir in enough milk for desired glazing consistency.
  14. Drizzle glaze over bars.
