Phil'S Beef Stew

  1. Brown beef in oil; sprinkle with garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Pour off excess grease.
  3. Add tomatoes and one cup of water; add additional Worcestershire sauce if desired. Let simmer for about 45 minutes.
  4. Put in carrots and rutabaga and cook for 20 minutes and add onions.
  5. About 10 minutes later, add potatoes.
  6. Cook until vegetables are done.
  7. Stir in mushroom soup and blend well.
