Peas With Mushrooms
- 10 ounces frozen peas
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (drained)
- 14 cup slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 10 12 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 13 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
- salt
- pepper
- Cook peas in boiling unsalted water until tender.
- Saute' mushrooms and almonds in melted butter in 2 qt saucepan until almonds are golden brown.
- This can be done while waiting for peas.
- Combine soup and milk and stir into saute'ed mixture.
- Add drained peas and pimientos.
- Heat well stirring occasionally.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
