Roman Holiday Bake
- 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 1 can Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup
- 8 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp. dried oregano flakes
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil flakes
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seed, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 c. (dry measure) rotini or spiral shaped pasta, cooked
- salt to taste
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 4 slices cheese
- 1 pkg. corn meal
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 can chilies with tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- Saute hamburger and onion.
- Place in bottom of large casserole dish.
- On top, add beans, corn and chili peppers.
- Cover with cheese.
- Mix cornbread according to directions and spread over top.
- Bake until golden brown.
