Spicy Shrimp, Snow Peas And Baby Corn
- 1 lb. raw shrimp (remove shell, devein, wash and pat dry)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/8 to 2 tsp. Oriental chili sauce
- 1 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
- few slices fresh ginger
- 6 oz. snow peas, string and wash
- 1 can baby corn, drained
- 1 onion, cut into 6 or 8 pieces
- few strips red pepper
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. broth
- salt to taste
- 2 tsp. cornstarch in 1 Tbsp. water
- Combine shrimp, salt, sugar, chili sauce, garlic and fresh ginger.
- Marinate 1/2 hour.
- In a frying pan, bring broth to boil. Add snow peas, corn, onion and red peppers.
- Stir-fry until peas are slightly done.
- Remove to platter.
- Bring liquid to boil.
- Add shrimp; cook until done.
- Thicken with cornstarch; stir in vegetables.
- Season and serve hot.
