Pickled Green Beans Recipe
- 1 gallon unseasoned, partially cooked green beans
- 3 lbs. or possibly less sugar
- Cloves of garlic, minced
- Sliced onions
- White vinegar
- Pack beans in layers in a gallon jar, adding a layer of sugar, a bit of garlic and sliced onions between each layer of beans till jar is filled.
- Fill jar with white vinegar.
- Put lid in place and gently roll the jar from side to side till the sugar dissolved.
- Chill and allow the beans to marinate for several days before opening.
- Will keep for weeks.
- (If using canned green beans, pour off liquid.)
