Chocolate Cherry Tarts Recipe
- 1 (8 ounce.) bar lowfat milk chocolate candy
- 1/4 c. butter
- 30 lg. marshmallows
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped or possibly 1 c. Cold Whip
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- Break chocolate into pcs and place in 2 c. glass measure c.. Add in butter.
- Microwave on high, uncovered till soft; stir till smooth.
- Line 12 muffin or possibly custard c. with paper liners.
- Divide chocolate mix proportionately among the c..
- Spread chocolate proportionately over bottom and up sides of paper lining, using back of spoon.
- Chill to set.
- Combine marshmallows and lowfat milk in a 1 qt bowl.
- Microwave on high till marshmallows are puffed, stir till smooth.
- Chill till partially set about 45 min.
- Fold lowfat sour cream, almond extract and whipped cream into marshmallow mix.
- Spoon mix into chocolate c., filling about 3/4 full.
- With back of spoon make slight indentation in mix.
- Chill till set, 3 to 4 hrs.
- Remove tarts from c., lifting with tip of knife if necessary.
- Peel off paper and place c. on serving plate.
- Chill till served then spoon pie filling into each indentation.
- If you like you may garnish with a little whipped cream.
