Ravioli With Ham And Peas
- 2 Tbsp. butter or olive oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/4 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. frozen baby peas, thawed
- 1 c. heavy or whipping cream
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 pkg. (7- or 8-oz. each) fresh cheese ravioli or tortellini
- 2 oz. cooked ham, cut into strips
- 1 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley
- Cook ravioli according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, melt butter or heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and cook 2 minutes.
- Add peas, cream and pepper. Bring sauce to boil; boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add ham.
- Drain cooked ravioli; toss in a large heated serving bowl with cream sauce and sprinkle with parsley.
- Makes 4 servings.
