EZ Texas Pinto's
- 3 cups dried pinto beans
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- Rinse beans, then place them in a large pot.
- Pour enough water to cover them by 2-3 inches.
- Bring to a boil over med-high heat, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer 2 1/2- 3 hours, stirring about every half hour.
- (If they get dry too quickly, just add a little more water).
- Once cooked, add chili powder and salt.
- (I prefer sea salt).
