EZ Texas Pinto's

  1. Rinse beans, then place them in a large pot.
  2. Pour enough water to cover them by 2-3 inches.
  3. Bring to a boil over med-high heat, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  4. Simmer 2 1/2- 3 hours, stirring about every half hour.
  5. (If they get dry too quickly, just add a little more water).
  6. Once cooked, add chili powder and salt.
  7. (I prefer sea salt).
