Spiced Pork Ribs

  1. Preliminaries: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine salt, pepper, allspice and thyme.
  3. Rub mixture on ribs.
  4. Place ribs in roasting pan.
  5. Pour enough apple juice in pan to a depth of 1/4 inch, may need more or less than the 1 cup.
  6. Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Roast 1 hour in preheated oven.
  8. Remove foil.
  9. Raise temperature to 425 degrees.
  10. Bake an additional 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
  11. If desired the ribs can be browned on the barbecue instead of the oven.
