Egg in Toast! (AKA: Toad in a Hole)
- 2 eggs per person per serving
- 2 slices of bread per person per serving
- 1 salted butter for frying
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 1 biscuit/cookie cutter or something to cut a hole in your slices of bread
- 1 large skillet
- 1 large spatula
- Cut holes in your bread.
- Heat butter in pan
- Add bread to pan and toast on one side
- Remove bread from pan and add more butter.
- Put bread back in toasted side up and put one egg into each bread hole and season egg.
- At this point you can cover the pan while the bread toasts to help the egg cook.
- I prefer to flip it over to finish cooking the egg.
- Grab a plate and enjoy!
