Simply Simmered Spinach & Fried Tofu
- 150 grams Spinach
- 1 Aburaage
- 200 ml Water
- 1 tsp Dashi soup stock granules
- 1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- Thoroughly rinse the spinach and cut into 3-cm long pieces.
- Pour boiling water over the aburaage, squeeze out the excess moisture, then cut into about 2-cm wide strips.
- Boil water in a small pot and boil the aburaage.
- Add the dashi granules, soy sauce, and mirin.
- Stir and bring to a boil.
- Add the spinach, cover with a lid, and after it has boiled for 2-3 mintues, it's done.
