Grilled Ham and Egg Salad Sandwich
- 6 hardboiled egg, chopped
- 1 cup cooked ham, chopped
- 12 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 12 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 slices white bread
- vegetable oil
- 12 cup cornmeal
- 12 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- Combine eggs,ham, celery,onions,mayonnaise, mustard,salt and pepper: spread on six slices of bread.
- Top with remaining bread and set aside.
- In a Bowl, whisk batter ingredients until well blended.
- Heat about 1/2 inches of oil in large deep skillet.
- Dip sandwiches into batter.
- Fry until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
