Beef And New Pea Pods-Chinese Style

  1. Prepare rice.
  2. Chill meat in freezer until slightly firm.
  3. Cut meat diagonally across the grain into very thin slices.
  4. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and salt; pour over meat and mix well.
  5. Snap off tips of fresh snow pea pods; remove strings from pea pods.
  6. Blanch one minute in boiling water. Rinse in cold water and drain well.
