Grandma's Swedish Meatballs Recipe
- 1 pound lean grnd beef
- 1/4 pound grnd pork
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 slices bread
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
- Moisten bread with lowfat milk.
- Mix all ingredients together well.
- Form into small 1 inch balls.
- Brown in skillet on all sides.
- Add in water to pan.
- Simmer for 20 min.
- Broth can be thickened with flour to make a gravy if you like.
