Scalloped Bacon Potates and Rutabagas #SP5
- 20 ounces Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes with Onion
- 1 (20 ounce) bagfrozen rutabagas (turnip)
- 4 tablespoons butter or 12 cup margarine
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 12 cups milk (or use 1-12 oz can of evaporated milk with 2 oz water) or 1 12 cups light cream (or use 1-12 oz can of evaporated milk with 2 oz water)
- 12 cup bacon bits
- Combine potatoes and rutabagas in a buttered casserole dish.
- Cut butter into small pieces and dot vegetables.
- Sprinkle flour evenly onto vegetables.
- Pour milk over vegetables.
- Sprinkle bacon bits over top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbling and slightly brown on top.
