Boiled Broccoli with Sakura Shrimp and Oyster Sauce - Great in Bentos Too!
- 1 head Broccoli
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 3 tbsp Dried sakura shrimp or small shrimp
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Cooking sake
- 2 to 3 tablespoons Water
- 1 as required Katakuriko slurry
- Cut the broccoli into an easy to eat size, boil in salted water to your liking.
- Remove from pot and drain in a colander, and set aside.
- Note: Don't forget to include the stalk.
- Heat sesame oil and shrimp in a pan over medium heat.
- Once the shrimp start to spit and release their aroma, reduce the heat to low.
- Add the ingredients in turn from the top of the ingredients list and stir.
- Reduce the sauce for about one minute.
- Add katakuriko dissolved in water to thicken the sauce to your liking.
- Place the broccoli on a serving plate and cover with the sauce.
