Shepherd's Pie

  1. Peel and quarter potatoes.
  2. Put in pot.
  3. Cover with water.
  4. Add salt and 2 whole garlic cloves; bring to boil and let it cook until tender.
  5. Meanwhile, saute celery, onion, and 2 cloves of chopped garlic in 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  6. Saute 3 to 5 minutes.
  7. Add in the hamburger and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce mix and cook until the meat is no longer pink.
  8. Drain off the fat.
  9. Mix the 2 cans of mushroom soup in with the meat, plus 1/2 of each can of green beans, corn, and carrots.
  10. Heats on low until the vegetables are hot.
  11. Set the meat mixture aside and make your mashed potatoes.
  12. Drain potatoes, mash up the potatoes add in 2 tablespoons of butter, 1/4 cup of milk, and salt and pepper to taste; whip with a electric mixer until fluffy.
  13. You may need to add more milk, but careful not to add too much.
  14. After the potatoes are done, spread the meat mixture out into a deep dish casserole pan (large one).
  15. Top with the remaining 1/2 can of each green beans, corn, and carrots.
  16. Next, spread the mashed potatoes over the top and smooth out.
  17. Then top with 2 cups of cheddar cheese.
  18. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
