Lasagne #2
- 1 lb. lasagne noodles
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 1 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb. Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- salt and pepper
- Cook and drain lasagne while browning ground beef.
- When brown, drain excess fat (rinse for less cholesterol).
- Add spaghetti sauce, water, spices, salt and pepper to taste.
- Layer in 9 x 14-inch pan the sauce, noodles and cheeses in that order twice.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 375u0b0.
- Remove foil and let cheese brown.
- Let set a few minutes and serve. Makes approximately 8 average servings.
