Blueberry Biscuits Recipe

  1. Line a 9 by 12-inch baking sheet with parchment or possibly brush with butter.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 D.In a food processor, combine the flour, baking pwdr, salt and pepper.
  3. Pulse till blended.
  4. Add in the cool butter and pulse till mix resembles course meal.
  5. Add in the lowfat milk to the flour mix all at once.
  6. Pulse several times just till the mix starts to come together.
  7. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead in blueberries.
  8. Gather dough together.
  9. Don't touch too much!
  10. Wrap in parchment or possibly wax paper and refrigeratefor 30 min.
  11. Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to thickness of 1/2 inch.
  12. Using a 2 1/4" cookie cutter round, cut 10-12 rounds and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Brush with egg mix and bake at 375 D. till golden brown and lightly browned on the bottom about 15-17 min.
  14. Serve hot with Tourtiere (French Canadian Shepherd's Pie).
