Angies Boneless BBQ Ribs

  1. Sprinkle ribs liberally with mesquite and Montreal seasonings, season all, salt and pepper.
  2. Rub the seasoning into ribs.
  3. Place ribs in crock pot or large pot and cover with water.
  4. Add enough liquid smoke to water to turn it a light brown color.
  5. Cook on stove top at a low rolling boil for 2.5 hours or in crock pot until tender, approximately 5 hours.
  6. Remove ribs from cooking liquid and place on foil lined grill, or indoor griddle.
  7. Baste with BBQ sauce and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  8. Heat through until brown sugar has melted and somewhat caramelized.
