Cheesy Crescent Dogs
- 4 whole Hot Dogs
- 1 package Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough, 8 Ounce Tube
- 1 block Cheese - Approximately 3" Square And 1/4" Thick
- Optional Garnishes: Fresh Herbs, Sliced Peppers, Olives, Etc
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees (F).
- Slice each hot dog lengthwise about 3/4 way through.
- Next cut each hot dog in half.
- Cut the 3x3x1/4 inch slice of cheese into 8 sticks, insert one stick of cheese into the cut side of each hot dog section.
- Roll out crescent dough and separate into the precut triangles.
- Starting at the widest end, lay one hot dog, cheese side up on the dough and roll up.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 11 or more minutes doneness is personal preference.
- At 5000 feet, mine took about 16 minutes for the crescent dough to be nicely browned.
- Put your kids in the kitchen without fear that theyll destroy it and let them get involved in what theyre eating!
- Make these extra fancy or just plain Jane....
