Basic Salt Ramen

  1. Put all ingredients in a pot.
  2. Simmer and reduce slightly.
  3. Add water and bring to a boil.
  4. Add ingredients when it's nearly boiling.
  5. Cook the noodles.
  6. Pour the boiled soup into a serving bowl.
  7. Add the cooked noodles into the bowl as well.
  8. Top with green onions.
  9. Add char siu (Chinese-style roasted pork) or menma (pickled bamboo shoots) if you like.
