Rocky Road Squares
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2/3 c. soft shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 sq. cooking chocolate
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 24 marshmallows, cut in pieces
- 6 to 8 Tbsp. Marshmallow Fluff
- 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
- Sift flour, sugar and salt.
- Add shortening and eggs and beat until fluffy.
- Add vanilla and melted cooking chocolate.
- Blend well; gently stir in nuts.
- Turn into lightly greased pan and bake about 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Remove from oven and immediately cover with chocolate bits and marshmallows.
- Allow to stand several minutes until soft and gently spread over entire mix with the back of a fork.
- Cool before cutting.
