Shrimp Bowtie Pasta ala Cream
- 1 box Bowtie Pasta, 16 Ounce Box
- 3 slices Bacon, Chopped In 1/2 Inch Pieces
- 1/4 cups Chopped Onion
- 3 cloves Pressed Or Chopped Fresh Garlic
- 1 pound Raw, Chopped Shimp
- 1/2 cups Chopped Fresh Spinach Leaves
- 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/2 cups Milk (I Used 2 %)
- 1/4 cups Chicken Stock
- 3 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 cups Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Bring 3 quarts of water to boil for the bowtie pasta.
- Add a couple of dashes of salt to flavor the pasta while it simmers.
- In a large skillet, pan sear your bacon pieces over medium heat until they are about half way cooked (a little crispy on the edges).
- Add onion and garlic and toss.
- Cook until the garlic and onion have turned a golden brown (about 2 minutes).
- Add shrimp and cook until the shrimp turns mostly pink (about 3 minutes).
- Add chopped spinach (for color and an extra vitamin punch!
- ).
- While spinach is wilting, whisk heavy cream, milk and chicken stock in a bowl.
- Pour mixture into skillet and sprinkle flour over the top.
- Stir well.
- Allow liquid to simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, over medium heat until thickened as desired.
- Drain pasta and toss with shrimp sauce in a large bowl.
- Serve in a pasta bowl with grated parmesan over the top.
