Shrimp Bowtie Pasta ala Cream

  1. Bring 3 quarts of water to boil for the bowtie pasta.
  2. Add a couple of dashes of salt to flavor the pasta while it simmers.
  3. In a large skillet, pan sear your bacon pieces over medium heat until they are about half way cooked (a little crispy on the edges).
  4. Add onion and garlic and toss.
  5. Cook until the garlic and onion have turned a golden brown (about 2 minutes).
  6. Add shrimp and cook until the shrimp turns mostly pink (about 3 minutes).
  7. Add chopped spinach (for color and an extra vitamin punch!
  8. ).
  9. While spinach is wilting, whisk heavy cream, milk and chicken stock in a bowl.
  10. Pour mixture into skillet and sprinkle flour over the top.
  11. Stir well.
  12. Allow liquid to simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, over medium heat until thickened as desired.
  13. Drain pasta and toss with shrimp sauce in a large bowl.
  14. Serve in a pasta bowl with grated parmesan over the top.
