Flounder in Sweet & Sour Vegetable Sauce
- 1 cut Flounder fish
- 1/8 Onion
- 1/4 Carrot
- 1 Green pepper
- 1 Katakuriko
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 50 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko slurry
- Mince the onions.
- Cut the green peppers in half vertically, remove the seeds, and julienne.
- Slice the carrot into strips.
- Mix in the water-dissolved katakuriko and stop the heat.
- Mix everything to create a creamy feel.
- Heat vegetable oil (not listed) in a frying pan and cook both sides of the flounder.
- Once the flounder has cooked through, transfer to a plate.
- Wash the frying pan, heat vegetable oil (not listed) again and add the vegetables from Step 1.
- Once the vegetables are more or less cooked, add the sweet vinegar sauce ingredients and mix.
- Mix in the water-dissolved starch and stop the heat.
- Mix everything to create a creamy feel.
- Pour the mixture from Step 7 over the flounder from Step 4 and it's complete.
