Hilachas

  1. Season meat with salt pepper and cumin
  2. Brown the meat
  3. Meanwhile quarter onion and dice garlic add to pot
  4. Quarter tomatoes then add to pot
  5. Quarter tomatillos then add to pot
  6. Add water enough to cover the meat
  7. Add the dry chile's
  8. Bring to boil then reduce to low and cover
  9. Cook on low for about 3-4 hours until meat is tender
  10. Take the meat out and shred
  11. Blend the water with veggies and spices to create a sauce
  12. In a separate pan have heat on high with 2 Tsp.
  13. Of oil and fry meat add about 1tsp.
  14. Of garlic, fry until meat is crispy
  15. Add sauce back with meat
  16. Cut potatoes like french fries
  17. Add to sauce and simmer until potatoes are done
  18. Serve on top of a bed of rice
  19. Enjoy :)
  20. Side note* please remember to also season the sauce with salt and pepper I also go a little heavy on cumin but it's all on owns preferences my mom goes light on hers so that's why I leave it up to you.
