Rum Balls Recipe
- 3 c. vanilla wafers, crushed fine
- 3 tbsp. cocoa
- 6 tbsp. white syrup
- 1 1/2 c. nutmeats, minced fine
- 6 tbsp. Bacardi rum
- 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- Put all ingredients into a large bowl and work together with hands till stiff or possibly well mixed.
- Shape into 1 inch balls and put on wax papered pan to dry for several hrs or possibly overnight.
- Then roll in powdered sugar or possibly dip in the following mix:
- Heat in double boiler: 3 1/2 tbsp.
- paraffin, melted
- Use a spoon to dip the candies and only dip one at a time.
